This is basically a formal meeting in which the ownership of your home is transferred to the buyer through the escrow process.
You and the seller will attend your scheduled appointment separately with the title company to sign all documents required to transfer ownership.
Once you and the buyer signs, funds will be wired to escrow and the sale records and ownership transfers to the buyer.
